On 20 Feb 2013 Alderney released a set of six stamps celebrating beetles. On the 52p stamp at the upper center we see Alderney Lighthouse though the burying beetles are the main attraction here!

The United States Postal Service recently announced a new set of stamps in the lighthouse series to be issued in July 2013. The last set in this series was issued in July 2009. The lighthouses depicted are all located in New England and are among the oldest lighthouses in the United States. They include: Portland Head Light, Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse, Boston Harbor Lighthouse, Point Judith Lighthouse, and New London Harbor Lighthouse.
