On 23 May 2024, Portugal issued a nice set of four stamps plus a souvenir sheet containing one additional stamp commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Portuguese Lighthouse Authority. Each of the stamps has a white silhouette of a lighthouse at the edge in addition to a photograph of an individual lighthouse.
The 0.65€ stamp shows Cabo da Roca Lighthouse which is located at the westernmost point of Europe. The 0.90€ stamp shows Cabo de São Vicente Lighthouse which is located at the southwestern point of the country and houses one of the largest fresnel lenses ever installed. The 1.20€ stamp features Ponta do Pargo Lighthouse depicts Ponta do Pargo Lighthouse on the island of Madeira. The 1.30€ stamp shows Albarnaz Lighthouse on Ilha das Flores in the Azores. The souvenir sheet features Bugio Lighthouse both as a photo and an architectural drawing. This lighthouse is located on an island near the mouth of the Tagus River. There is also a photo of the Portuguese Lighthouse Authority located at Paço de Argos near Lisbon with a red lantern house on display outside the building.
