On 30 March 2022 Portugal issued a set of three stamps to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first air crossing of the South Atlantic. One of these stamps shows Torre de Belém at the entrance to Lisbon Harbor. A lighthouse was established at the tower in the mid 19th century but has been inactive since 1945.
