On 7 Oct 2016 La Poste de St. Pierre & Miquelon issued this stamp showing Pointe Plate Lighthouse. The lighthouse, constructed in 1881, stands at the west end of Langlade Island south of Grande Miquelon.

On 7 Feb 2017 Russia issued this souvenir sheet to commemorate the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia. At the lower right one of the Rostral columns can be seen. The two columns are located on Vasilyevsky Island in St. Petersburg and are lighted on special occasions. A rostral is a type of victory column which date to ancient Greece where prows of captured vessels were mounted on the column.
