Georgia 2022 Lighthouse Stamps – New Lighthouse Stamp Country

Though these stamps are dated “2021” they were apparently issued in January 2022 by Georgia (the former Soviet republic).

Poti Lighthouse was built in 1864 and serves as the rear range for ships approaching the port of the same name.

Sukhumi Lighthouse is located near the city of the same name in the republic of Abkhazia which declared it’s independence from Georgia but that independence appears to be in dispute. The lighthouse was built in 1864 and looks to be in a state of disrepair.

Batumi Lighthouse, built in 1883 is located at the port of Batumi. It was built in 1882.

Mersey Bluff L/H | 1 Dec 2021

Mersey Bluff Lighthouse is located at Devonport on the north-central coast of Tasmania and has stood at this location since 1889.

Caloundra Lighthouses (Old and New) | 1 Dec 2021

This cancel shows both the old and new lighthouses at Caloundra Head located at Caloundra on the Queensland coast north of Brisbane.The old lighthouse built in 1896 was replaced by the new one in 1968.
