On 10 Sep 2016 China (PRC) issued this mini sheet to commemorate the Maritime Silk Road. It shows a stylized lighthouse in the margin.
On 28 Oct 2016 China issued a second series of Modern Lighthouses. These are especially “modern” as they have been built in the last couple of years as part of China’s claim to the Spratly Islands in the South China Sea. All five of the lighthouses shown below are in the Spratly Islands which the Philippines also claims.
