Isle of Man Lighthouse Stamp, 7 April 2020

On 7 April 2020 Isle of Man issued a set of six stamps celebrating the poetry of William Wordsworth. One of these stamps shows Conister Rock Lighthouse, also  known as Tower of Refuge. The tower sits on an island near the entrance of Douglas Harbor. The tower was built to provide shelter for shipwrecked mariners on St. Mary’s Island.

Lighthouse Stamps from Guernsey. 1 April 2020

On April 1, 2020, Guernsey issued a set of six stamps in the Europa 2020 Ancient Postal Routes series. These stamps feature mail ships. Two of these stamps and the mini sheet are of interest to lighthouse stamp collectors. On the 68p stamp, Sark Lighthouse can be seen just to the left of the mizzen of the Ariadne. On the 70 p stamp we see White Rock Pier Lighthouse over the stem of the Antelope. The margin of the mini sheet shows Castle Breakwater Lighthouse at the bottom right, while White Rock Pier Lighthouse is just visible above the stacks of the ferry entering the harbor.
