February 2021 New Zealand Lighthouse Stamp

On 3 Feb 2021 New Zealand Post issued a set of 9 stamps in a series named “Holiday at Home” to promote domestic tourism. Each of the stamps features a different area of New Zealand and one of them shows a stylized view of Castlepoint L/H on the Wairarapa coast. This lighthouse was built in 1913 on the southeast coast of New Zealand’s North Island near the town of the same name.

2019 New Zealand Lighthouse Stamps

On 6 March 2019, New Zealand Post issued a very interesting series of lighthouse stamps. The stamps feature views from the “eye of the lens” of each of six lighthouses. The stamps also include line drawings of the lighthouse from which the perspective view is taken. The Baring Head L/H stamp also shows the old and new Pencarrow lighthouses. The lighthouses shown are: Pouto, Manukau Heads, Baring Head, French Pass, Nugget Point and Puysegur Point. the Mini sheet has a sketch of Cape Egmont Lighthouse in the margin.
