On 23 Sept 2016 Portugal issued a set of five stamps dedicated to Bridges and Engineering Structures. One of these stamps commemorates the 500th anniversary of the Tower of Belém. This stamp is very similar to to one issued on 1 July 2015.

The second stamp shown below was issued on 10 Oct 2o16 and also features the Tower of Belém and is part of a set of four stamps commemorating the 500th Anniversary of Postal Service in Portugal.

On 1 Jul 2015 CTT (Portugal Post) issued a set of three stamps and a souvenir sheet to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Torre de Belém. The tower, located at Lisbon, was completed in the early 16th century and was used as a lighthouse from the late 1880’s until about 1945. It has been inactive for the past 70 years. The stamps are available from WOPA stamps.
