The sheet is the second of a series of three of Argentinian lighthouses. Shown are Cabo Virgenes Lighthouse, Isla Pingüino Lighthouse, San Juan de Salvamento Lighthouse, and Punta Delgada Lighthouse. All are still active except San Juan de Salvamento Lighthouse which has been called the “Lighthouse at the end of the world”. Be sure to click on the links to see pictures and map locations for these lighthouses.
The second image is a set of self-adhesive stamps commemorating the Int’l Philatelic Exposition of America, Spain and Portugal in Buenos Aires in 1968. There is a small stylized lighthouse at the extreme right of the image.
