On 13 July 2020, Poste Maroc issued a pair of stamps with the theme of traditional gastronomy. One of these stamps depicts the Hassan II Mosque which is the former location of an aerobeacon.

On 21 April 2015 Poste Maroc issued a new stamp to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Cape Spartel Lighthouse. As a result of the wreck of a Brazilian training vessel with tremendous loss of life in November 1860, the king of Morocco authorized the construction of Cape Spartel Lighthouse. The construction was completed in late 1864 and is located at the southwest approach to the Strait of Gibraltar.
