On 1 October 2016 Norway Post issued a set of two stamps in an ongoing lighthouse series. The first stamp shows the two Sandvigodden lighthouses which are located at the east end of Hisøy Island at the approach to Arenal. The first lighthouse, shown on the right, was built in 1844 and has been inactive since 1934 when it was replaced by a slightly taller structure immediately adjacent to it.
The second stamp features Sklinna Lighthouse located on the island of Heimøya in the Sklinna archipelago midway up the west coast of Norway. This is a cast iron structure housing a 2nd order Fresnel lens.
