On 15 September 2014 Jersey Post issued a set of stamps to commemorate the 350th anniversary of the state of New Jersey in the United States. Two of the stamps in the set feature lighthouses. Barnegat Lighthouse is on Long Beach Island, New Jersey and marks the southern approach lanes to New York harbor. Corbière Lighthouse, located on the extreme south-western point of Jersey was the first lighthouse in the British Isles to be constructed from concrete.
