This Australian cancel from 16 July 2012 features Wilsons Promontory Lighthouse. This is the southernmost lighthouse on mainland Australia and was built in 1859 to protect shipping in the Bass Strait between the Australian mainland and Tasmania.

We are going to have to wait for a while to see these stamps that are scheduled to be issued on 12 Sep 2013. This is the third pair of stamps in the Iceland Lighthouse series featuring Skarðsfjara Lighthouse and Vattarnes Lighthouse.
