On 1 September 2014 Japan Post issued a sheet of 10 82 yen stamps to commemorate the 100th anniversary of  the Japan Society of Civil Engineers. The third stamp shows three stylized harbor entrance lights on the end of the jetties and the eighth one shows two more stylized jettie lights.

One of the stamps on the sheet issued on 13 July 2012 shows Jogashima Lighthouse. The original lighthouse was built in 1870 according to a French design and was renovated in 1926.
