Yevpatoriya L/H is located on the Crimean Peninsula near the seaport of the same name and is the tallest lighthouse on the Black Sea. It is a relatively new lighthouse having been replace after being damaged during WWII. Maxi card

Biryuchiy L/H is located in the northwestern part of the Sea of Azov near the end of a long, narrow spit of land. It dates from 1882 but, again, was damaged during WWII and was not in service for several years following. Maxi card

Il’inskiy L/H is located on the Crimean Peninsula near the port city of Feodosiya and dates from 1953 when it was built to replace a former one destroyed during WWII. Maxi card

Stanislav-Adzhigol’skiy Range Rear L/H is a striking red skeleton tower which in conjunction with a similar but shorter front range light mark one of the approach channels to the Dnipro River in the northern Black Sea east of Odessa. Maxi card

Meganom L/H is located near the port of Sudak in the eastern Crimean Peninsula. It was built in 1895 but like most of the other lighthouses pictured on this sheet was damaged during WWII and out of service for a period of time. Maxi card
Zmiinyi L/H | 15 Sep 2020 | N5036
Zmiinyi L/H is located on Snake Island east of the Danube River Delta. The island has been under control of many countries over the years including Turkey, Russia, USSR, Romania and Ukraine. It was built in 1846. Sadly, it was also damaged during WWII and had to be restored. Maxi card
