On 16 Nov 2018 Kyrgyz Express Post issued this rather stunning set of stamps along with a souvenir sheet, mini sheets and a first day cover featuring the lighthouses of Issyk-Kul Lake. Navigational buoys are also shown on the stamps and sheets.
Issyk-Kul Lake is over 100 miles long and over 37 miles wide at its widest point . While it is located high in the mountains and surrounded by snow covered peaks, it never freezes and is thus navigable year-round. The pictured aids to navigation are typical of those found on the lake. Notice that the souvenir sheet has a map at the bottom portion showing the location of all lighthouses along the lake shore.
