On 22 Jun 2023, Italy issued a stamp to commemorate the Grand Finale of the 2022-2023 around the world sailing race which finished in Genoa. Prominent in the city skyline is the silhouette of La Lanterna di Genova. The current lighthouse at this site dates from 1543.
