France Lighthouse Stamp, 11 Jul 2016

On 11 July 2016 La Poste issued a stamp commemorating the fish of the Mediterranean. In the background can be seen the hills surrounding the city of Marseille. Near the waterline, the white structure is Fort Saint-Jean Lighthouse, also known as Tour du Fanal Lighthouse. This is an ancient lighthouse which has been extinguished since the mid 19th century and was originally built as a watch tower.

German Lighthouse Stamps, 7 Jul 2016

On 7 July 2016 Deutsche Post release the latest two stamps in the lighthouse series. The .45€ stamp features Staberhuk Lighthouse located on the southeast point of Fehmarn Island. The .90€ stamps depicts Kampen Lighthouse which was built by the Danes in 1856 and is located near the town of Kampen on the opposite site of Jutland from Staberhuk Lighthouse. Each of the stamps is available in sheets of 10 as shown below.
