Italy Lighthouse Stamp, 27 May 2015

On 27 May 2015 Poste Italiane issued a set of stamps celebrating “The Italian Artistic and Cultural Heritage”. One of these stamps features the Castello Della Colombaia in Trapani, Sicily. There is a former lighthouse located at the fortress that has not been in use for nearly 100 years.

South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands, 21 Jun 2015

On 21 June 2015 South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands issued a set of four stamps honoring the historic steam trawler Dias, formerly known as the Voila. On the stamp shown below we can see the Inner Farne Lighthouse in the distance over the bow of the vessel.
