On 6 March 2014 Chungwa Post issued a set of 4 lighthouse stamps in a continuation of the series begun in July 2010.

Fangyuan Lighthouse was built in 1983 and is located on the north side of Fangyuan on the west-central coast of Taiwan.

Chamu Yu Lighthouse is located on Chamu Island off the west-central coast of Taiwan and is accessible only by boat. The structure, built in 1913, was heavily damaged during World War II  and was rebuilt in 1948.

Lanyu Lighthouse at 216 meters has the highest elevation of any lighthouse in Taiwan. Lanyu Island (Orchard Island) is located about 40 miles east of the southern tip of Taiwan. The lighthouse was built in 1982.

Sandiaojiao L/H | 6 Mar 2014

Sandiaojiao Lighthouse built in 1935 marks the eastern most point of Taiwan.

Croatia Lighthouse Stamps, 30 May 2014

On 30 May 2014 Croatia’s Hrvatska pošta issued another set of stamps in the lighthouse series. The stamps were issued in 10 stamp sheetlets.

Palagruža Lighthouse is located on Great Palagruža Island. It was built in 1875 and is the largest lighthouse in the eastern Adriatic.

 

Struga L/H | 30 May 2014 | E3544

Struga Lighthouse is located on Lastovo Island and was built in 1839. It was automated in the 1920’s and the building was restored in 2002 to include four tourist apartments. The same family has cared for this lighthouse for more than a century.

Sušac L/H | 30 May 2014 | E3538

Sušac Lighthouse, built in 1878, is named for island on which it stands. Like Struga, it also contains tourist accommodations.
